Ophidian is dead... Long live Ophidian! All you potential managers out there, listen up. It was March 4th of 2004, and the world was about to be embraced by a revolution! The first Ophidian 2350 CCG Expansion Set Rise of Champions was about to debut. Or so we thought, as unfortunately, the company that was printing the game shut it down before we had a breather to showcase it to the world. <br><br>After a couple of months of evaluating solutions, we had none, so a brilliant idea restarted our faith - releasing it in a print-to-play pdf format without any artwork or graphics! And man, that was a blast and the start of releases using that format. Unfortunately, our efforts reached only a few fans. Years later Ophidian returned moving its storyline to 2355 only to die again, and soon another revival set in 2356 that also didn't last long. Recently, we saw the return of Ophidian in the 2360 setting, but on a dark day, Ophidian was dead again!<br><br>Long live Ophidian Redux! Sometimes to move forward we need to step back a few paces. And that is our motto for the upcoming releases, as our plan starting next November is to repurpose those digital sets, plus one unreleased set, maintaining the full-text cards and printing them with some new additional graphics and a fully updated text to fit into the new audiences, new managers, and new potential Gladiators! <br><br>All Ophidian Redux cards are compatible with the original Ophidian 2350 CCG, as well, as the more recent spin-off Ophidian 2360.
